I would LOVE some comments - if not about this design - about your Thanksgiving, your upcoming Christmas plans, what you are currently stitching - what you are reading, your favorite holiday movie - whatever! :)
A simple primitive design for Thanksgiving - or anytime! Says "I am
Thankful..." then you complete that sentence in your mind every time you read it.
Living with an attitude of gratitude will lead to happiness, and just a better world in general, me thinks!!!
This one is ONLY available from me (no distributors) and only in PDF...
Hello Friends! I have a new design ready for Halloween!
A fun, whimsical and primitive feather tree for Halloween. A leafless
tree decorated like a Christmas tree, but decorated with pumpkins,
tombstones, skeleton keys, spiders, moons, crows, corn, witch hats,
candles, and a black cat on top like the star and one wandering on the
ground. Surrounded by a dark gray border... perfect primitive decoration
for your Autumn decor!
Hello! Hello! Sorry I've been gone for so long, I've got (another) new job that is keeping me busy.
I now have 2 jobs in addition to "The Stitcherhood" (a labor of love, however mostly for fun... copyright violations (theft) make it virtually impossible for many designers to make a living with just designing.
Last October, I got a job with the "Athens Area Arts" a local group that promotes all local art events (music, dance, theater, painting, photography, sculpture, poetry - you name it, we promote it!). I really enjoy it.
NOW I've got an additional new job as the business manager at our local dance studio, "Factory Street Studio" (which is awesome because my daughter takes 6 classes there a week - tap, ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, hip hop - and I feel like I'm always there anyway!)... my dream job!
I am so blessed - I love ALL of my jobs! :)
I do still plan to keep designing - it is my passion - and here is my latest release:
Hello friends! I am back from Florida, visiting family, and soaking up all of the warmth and sunshine that Ohio has deprived me of for the last 5 months! Here is a "selfie" of me at Cocoa Beach. (I am a beach girl at heart!! :)
Heeelllooo! Thanks to you all that left me such kind comments in the last post! They make me so happy! :) AND I've got my first photo of a finish! It's lovely - stitched by Mary. She asked if it was ok to change the colors and I say Yes! :) I encourage everyone to use any of their favorite color(s) and/or fabrics for any/all of my designs. I adore seeing them stitched in different ways using your own special creativity. Thanks Mary! Keep 'em coming! ~Maria
I've been cleaning for Thanksgiving and feeling grateful. So happy to be alive, and with my family- some of which will be arriving soon, hense the mad scramble to dust and clean!
Anyway, while cleaning, I found 4 of my leaflet patterns that were a goof on the front page (lack of ink - so dim black-n-white printing without the usual color) BUT with the black-n-white graph and legend perfectly clear and intact on the back. These are wonky - but still very stitchable! (See below for photos)
So - I hate to simply throw them away. I can't sell them, as they are imperfect (aren't we all), but I thought I might give them away? Yep - so....
The first 4 people to respond to my post with a name will receive one of these weird misprinted patterns that are still very stitchable. Please just leave your name & email and I will contact you for address so privacy is intact. As far as email addresses - you can put a space between to avoid spam from others - like mine would be mae @ thestitcherhood .com. Space before and after @ and before the .whatever
The 4 free patterns are:
#129 Teach Peace
#128 - Funshine
#127 - My Blue Heaven
#126 - Grandmas
While posting - leave your name, email address and which pattern you choose.
First come first serve.
Patterns all fine - just minus color (or most of the color)
Backs with patterns in perfect state. Ready to be stitched and enjoyed!
Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
Thanks and Blessed Be!
