Brrrrrr....my chilly world

Hello everyone!

I sure hope that you all are staying warm! I woke up this morning to snow & ice and just had to capture some pictures of my yard. If you look closely, you can see the snow that continues to fall sparking in my flash! The pine trees are bending over with the weight, it is so quiet. The only sounds are the twigs snapping, the wind (shiver) and the sound of more snow falling. Yes, I can hear it, it sounds like salt falling out of a shaker.

Luckily, we knew this was coming, we are used to big snow storms here in the Appalachian foothills, so I was able to stock up on hot chocolate, candles (yup - we often lose electricity in weather like this - bring on the board games), books, and I have plenty of new designs to work on. We are under a level 2 snow emergency - so it's not suggested that people drive.... duh - I can't even find my driveway???

I see a snowman in my future... I think the girls will insist on it!

Stay warm and cozy! - Maria

Wow! It's beautiful. I think we skipped Winter here in Spokane. Of course, we had record snowfall the past two years but still. I just don't feel like we had a Winter. I do love my snow, if I don't have to go out in it, that is. Enjoy your cocoa =)
